2500+ Reentrant Employers ARE NOW Listed On 2ndChanceIN.com! 

Access to job openings everywhere in Indiana is now available in large and small cities and towns all over the state. Do you live in Loogootee? Or Evansville? Greenfield? Or, South Bend? 2nd Chance Indiana has merged the most comprehensive data available to provide a list of more than 2500 Indiana employers who hire people with a criminal record. 
Job seekers can apply online to as many potential employers as they wish. But, we know, location is king in the job market. Location means access, so you'll need a job that is close enough to home to get and keep a job. And when possible, 2CI can assist with transportation as long as is needed.
The new expanded list is soon to be promoted state-wide, and the site is predicted in the next year to double from the one million plus visitors in the last 12 months. Watch us grow, as 2nd Chance Indiana reduces recidivism through a common sense effort to help those who need it!
Also in this edition, there is new about a successful Job Fair at P-30, and a new cohort of men from the Marion County Detention Center who graduated from 2nd Chance Indiana’s Career Path Training. They spent weeks to learn what employers will expect from them in the workplace. But more importantly, they are tested to find out what talents and gifts they have so they can find the kind of work at which they will be most successful. 
A good job found quickly after release from incarceration can drive down recidivism about 90%, according to studies, and unemployment is connected to poverty, a criminal record, and re-incarceration. 
Finally, Check out Nancy’s Blog Post about Indiana Department Of Correction (IDOC) having agreed to pay more than $1.2 million to settle a claim that Indiana's Miami Correctional Facility inmates. They  were held in total or near-total darkness in 2020, windows covered with metal, and cells with no working lights. Read more Here!
