Government Agency Partners

Reentry Transportation Program

Regarding the 7 vans that 2nd Chance Indiana currently has carrying 88 reentrants to and from 27 employers every day in 22 Indiana cities and towns in 14 counties, our Government Agency Partner is the Recovery Works Program, which is part of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction, within the Family and Social Services Administration of the State of Indiana

Job Training & Counseling

2nd Chance Indiana also partners with the Marion County Sheriff's Office to provide Career Path Workshop, a career oriented job preparation training course, to men and women who are preparing for release from the largest county jail in the state, Marion County Adult Detention Center, a 3,000 bed facility.

Another Government Agency Partner is Marion County Community Corrections. 2nd Chance Indiana provides Career Path Workshop training and job counseling services to men who reside at Duvall Residential Center.

Transportation & More

From 2022 through 2024, 2nd Chance Indiana partnered as a sub-recipient of a federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant under the Office of Reentry, part of the Office of Public Health and Safety of the City of Indianapolis, to  provide job counseling services to those leaving Marion County Adult Detention Center as well as providing Marion County reentrants with transportation to and from work on a daily basis.

2nd Chance Indiana also works with Parole and Probation officials at the county level to provide job counseling services to their clients.

At the heart of each and every one of these government agencies are people who genuinely care about our reentrants, and they partner with 2nd Chance Indiana to give them the tools they need to begin a new and successful life.
